Final Phase Of
Fibre To The Node (FTTN) Upgrade ProgramThe final stage of NBN Co’s Fibre to the Node (FTTN) upgrade program is now underway.
Announced in January 2025 and backed by an equity investment of up to $3 billion from the Australian Government, alongside more than $800 million from NBN Co, this program aims to provide full fibre upgrades to more than 95 per cent of the approximately 622,000 homes and businesses remaining on FTTN connections. More than half of these premises are in regional Australia.
NBN Co has published a list of suburbs and towns with homes and businesses eligible for upgrades under the funding announced in January 2025.
