2024 Regional Telecommunications Review kicks off
The Regional Telecommunications Review occurs every three years. It is a chance for Australians in rural, regional and remote communities to give their perspective on telecommunications services in these locations. The Review also works with industry around regulatory settings and mapping solutions to improve regional communications.
In undertaking its Review, the Committee will closely examine barriers that may mean people in regional, rural and remote parts of Australia do not have equitable access to telecommunications services as compared to services available within urban areas.

“I look forward to receiving the Committee’s final report at the end of this year, and I strongly encourage communities to have their say to ensure we get the best communications outcomes for rural and regional Australians.” – Minister for Communications, the Hon Michelle Rowland MP

Public consultation will commence in April this year, with the Committee’s final report due to the Government by December 2024. Visit 2024 Regional Telecommunications Review kicks off | Ministers for the Department of Infrastructure for more information.
